Meet the Nada Fajita Tornados - My NFT soccer team

While I still figure out the baseball side of this fantasy sports business, my soccer team the Nada Fajita Tornados have been operating for a couple of months now. Have they been winning? Not exactly sure. Who's in it? Not exactly sure. But I've been putting them out on the pitch, they've been doing something and because of that, the game keeps giving me more players to...uh...put on the pitch again. 

Come meet the team already!

Since I (well the system) built the team back in May this year (2020 if you're reading this through some kind of time capsule) I have already given a lot of the team a damn fine write up which you can read right here. 

Since then however my pool of players has well and truly ballooned so it's well and truly time to meet the current lineup of the Nada Fajita Tornados as they stand:

THE KEEPERS OF THE GOALS

For ages I've been using Yanick van Osch as my goal saving man, wondering why the game had only given me one goalie to play with when I swear I started with two. Well I did start with two, I accidentally put Fernando Muslera in training...and left him there. By the time I remembered to look for him, he was well trained and good to go.

Shuichi Gonda is my latest prize and I'm very happy that I have a third goalie to work with. Or someone else to accidentally leave in training, I'm not sure yet.

FORWARD! SHE CRIED

Those numbers in the boxes bottom left next to the percentages is the average of their last five games. Which means Ansgar Knauff and Karim Benzema is having a great old time while Yussuf Poulsen is probably looking forward to a holiday.

DEFENDING THE WALL

Boy oh boy does this game love to give me defenders. Have a good game, here's a defender. Have a rubbish game, bad luck, have a defender. Oh you got some chips with your craft beer? You know what goes really well with that? Here, have a defender. 

I now have defenders coming out of my...uh...defence structure?

It's amazing the variety too - Marcel Halstenberg has the look and uniform of a Formula One Driver. Deandre Yedlin looks like my former strength coach while Masya Tashiro looks like someone out of a John Wick movie. Glorious. 

STUCK IN THE MIDDLE

Another great mix, especially of facial expressions. Julian Drexler seems happy to be alive while Sondre Tronstad didn't get his smashed avocado on the morning of the photo shoot and Matheus Savio obviously thought he was getting a mugshot. 

If you're wondering about those +% things too, so am I. But my vague understanding is that they're experience bonuses. The more you use players, the better they get, the higher the score they can achieve, the more fame and fortune showers you. Or something. Since I haven't used Davy Klaasen yet, he starts at just 5% while Teruki Hara has had a few games under his belt now, so he's up to 7%.

So there's the team, wish them (and me) luck! We might need it for the rest of this year...and next..
