Meet the Coach - he's here all week

One man, many teams, zero plans. Not actually Clueless by name, more by nature...

Twelve Golden Schnitzels for table one

One Crispy Golden Schnitzel leaves, 12 enter. It's the weirdest version of Thunderdome ever but it has given me the chance to become an NFT trading millionaire. Eventually.

Nada and Schnitzels round 006 - Grab Sands for a tenner

Well it's been a pretty busy week at Casa De Clueless - lots of new book promotio n, lots of regular pay the bills work, family, upcoming house inspection, a bit of everything really. Luckily Sorare is now sending me emails to remind me to play, letting me know I have five hours to lock a team in as of a few minutes ago.  Best get to it then hey?

New players put away for a rainy day

After watching the price of William Sands continue to rise (at the time of this post he's still at +253% in value) I figured maybe I should use the last dregs in my account to purchase a couple more random players and keep them on hand, just in case they suddenly increase in value one day.  Now don't quote me, but I'm sure Elon Musk also did something similar to create his great wealth and fortune, so why not give it a go hey?

Uppercuts round 005 - Dipping into negatives

So it turns out there are Tier 5 players in this game. Who knew? (Although by the time I figure things out, we'll probably be up to Tier 10 or 12, so...

Nada and Schnitzels round 005 - Who's this knocking on my door?

The casuals are going great, the Limited team is rubbish and suddenly I have a new staff member I had no idea about..  What else could go wrong this week?

Nada and Schnitzels round 004 - Cooking up some fresh cards

I have high hopes for my casual team this week, I have normal hopes for team limited and I'm also hoping the canteens at the stadium have beef stroganoff on the menu. Big fan. It's team selection time again so let's see who gets to put on the socks this week!

Uppercuts round 004 - Buy one ticket, get nine free!

On the soccer side of this coaching business, I'm drowning in players. Seriously, I can't even tie up my own coaching boots without discovering a new member of the team lurking underfoot. Which is why I can field a Limited team, a casual team and train three bunches of random Fajitas each and every week. On the baseball side however it's a different story. I can field one team and that's it. No training, no bonus, no nothing. So for the time being, my options are a touch on the limited side. Still, there's enough choice to change a couple of players around each week so let's do that and see what sticks..

Bash for the Border - Awards night

Well it was a huge night at Smokey Bob's Ribs and Rotgut - the Flavorless Flavs Supercoach AFL Team, their fans, the coach (me) and support staff all met for a drink, a laugh and to wrap up the year that was with a good old awards ceremony. And after the smoke cleared (and the cops were called for a bit of a brawling incident) we found ourselves with the top ten players of season 2022. Let's congratulate all our big winners shall we and find out the very best of the very best.

Uppercuts round 003 - Play em all, work out the best later

Just because I've just bought myself a soccer team, it doesn't mean I can neglect my baseball crew. Even if I have no idea what I'm actually doing here..

They're Golden and Crispy - we bought a team!

Michael Jordan, Mark Cuban and now my good self, Coach Clueless. What do we all have in common? Well we've all bought a sports team! And since I've spent the equivalent of the price of a pub schnitzel on mine, I think it's only fair the team name proudly points to that fact. So welcome to: The Crispy Golden Schnitzels!

Nada round 003 - The cheapest player is a dollar...

So out of curiosities sake, I looked at the cheapest players you can buy currently through Sorare's soccer marketplace and there's a lot sitting at .66 Euro which equates to a whole Aussie Dollereedoo. Which got me thinking - Maybe I should splurge on five of them and see how much damage a five dollar team could get up to? What's the worst that could go wrong with that idea? In the meantime, I've submitted some fresh lineups ready to rock and roll again this round. Win lose or draw, we're going to welcome to new members to the fold pretty soon!

Nada round 002 - Green lights, everywhere

I have a fully loaded team to play this week IE all players have a game in real life. Not only that, I've also been able to field a full playing team into the Academy and even built a training team along the way! Either it's a busy week in the world or soccer or a brilliant stroke of luck on my part, either way I'm going to wrangle as many bonus cards as I can out of this game right now...

Uppercuts round 002 - Need more flex

All coaches good and bad need a team. A team to support their decisions, back their plays and run and hide when it all goes wrong and the coach starts to throw that massive container of Gatorade around in fury and frustration. This week we welcome back a familiar face to my armchair coaching and hope I have some actual flex this time when picking a team for the Urban Uppercuts.
