So out of curiosities sake, I looked at the cheapest players you can buy currently through Sorare's soccer marketplace and there's a lot sitting at .66 Euro which equates to a whole Aussie Dollereedoo. Which got me thinking - Maybe I should splurge on five of them and see how much damage a five dollar team could get up to? What's the worst that could go wrong with that idea?
In the meantime, I've submitted some fresh lineups ready to rock and roll again this round. Win lose or draw, we're going to welcome to new members to the fold pretty soon!
Do these guys really need training? Well not as much as the fivesome above really, but still we'll let the tale of the tape at the end of the round do the talking. Some very familiar names take to the well worn green again this week:
Meanwhile over at the market side of things, my assistant Mantaur has been keeping and eye on player sales.
So I've learnt you can buy direct off another coach (where the cheapest player is currently one solid aussie dollar) or you can try your luck at the auctions and try to land one just a few cents cheaper! Currently the lowest bid player is worth 73 Aussie centaroonies and even more impressive, he only has one name!Yes the two lowest bidded players share the one name trait although they've both got a bid so far which means both Dudu and Felipe will be off to their new owners soon enough. Apparently there's only 1000 of these limited cards of each player and this first one is Dudu number 39.
RESULTS FOR THIS ROUND
Well it's good news, bad news and something in between.
The good - the causal team had a kick ass round.
The bad - my limited professionals did not..
What helped a lot in the casual team was the fact that everyone in it had a game. Where in the limited side, three did but only Yuji showed up. This is typical for the game and my coaching prowess, just because they look to play, doesn't mean they actually will.
Annoyingly too, my team was doing so well that my projected award was going to be a star card common whatever that was, however as more players finished their round the team dropped back and a tier one was netted instead.
But that's the something in between part which I'll get to in a sec..
Casual score: 82% Pretty good!
Limited score: 3% Not so good!
Annoyingly, I'm still waiting on that tier one card. And the card I'd usually get from the training teams, which came back with mixed results (but they all got some more experience, so that can't hurt!)
By my count there should be four new players after this herculian effort of picking random players to do random things but nothing yet...are they still on their way? Do I get nothing because I have a professional team now?Do I have too many random players already?
EDIT:
Looks like I got one player. And he must be good because like Dudu above, he's only got one name!
(Actually no, he does seem pretty good. A good last five game average, a slightly better one over the last 15 games - Gerson might just be the superstar I need for the Nada Fajitas!)
Gerson has 15 points in DEX, 18 in INT and loves to use a wand of magic missile.
No wait, completely wrong fantasy game. Whoops!
