Meet the Coach - he's here all week

One man, many teams, zero plans. Not actually Clueless by name, more by nature...

Meet the Uppercuts - my new MLB team!

Baseball? What the hell do I know about Baseball? And yet Sorare is willing (or maybe foolish is a better word here) to let me manage a Major League Baseball Team. I can't see anything going wrong with this idea, can you?

Let's meet the crew!

IN 2022 IT ALL STARTED WITH MANNY MACARDO

Sorare gave me a bunch of players to pick from and since Manny Macardo from the Padre's looked just so happy to be there, I instantly hired him on the spot. Then I got ready to pick the rest of my (hopefully) season crushing team the Urban Uppercuts but no, Sorare informed me they'd already done it, randomly offering me up a smattering of players from various teams.

Which means the pool of sluggers I'm getting to choose from now includes:

I mean they all look so stupidly happy to be here but I still picked Manny first because he looks like he's having the greatest time ever. That of course may change now that I'm coach but we'll see.

Is Ryan McMahon any relation to the McMahon's of WWE fame? I know a bit about wrestling but I don't remember Ryan being part of it however (maybe he'll take over from Vince?) meanwhile Justin Turner reminds me of a great mate of mine called Marc who runs an amazing BBQ business and Shawn Armstrong looks a little stunned that he's been picked. Relax Shawn, you've got this!

It's nice to see that I have a mix of many teams. I don't know my Pirates from my Dodgers however but here it doesn't matter. All of these (hopefully) greats are now under the same team umbrella and that means they're all new Urban Uppercutters! (Julio Urias looks like he's still mulling over the offer though..) And finally rounding out this fresh and exciting new team, we have...

Which means at this stage the Urban Uppercuts consist of:

7% Padres

7% Diamondbacks

7% Rays

7% Cardinals

7% Marlins

7% Rockies

7% Sox

7% Pirates

14% Dodgers

14% Giants

Well that seems like a nice team mix to start with doesn't it? And as I've found out playing the Soccer version of Sorare, this number will grow dramatically over the next few weeks as you score more players for basically showing up to the pitch.

Now that we've got a pool of (currently) willing players, let's see if we can put this mob to good use hey? Wish me luck here, we're all going to need it!

Twelve Golden Schnitzels for table one

One Crispy Golden Schnitzel leaves, 12 enter. It's the weirdest version of Thunderdome ever but it has given me the chance to become an NFT trading millionaire. Eventually.

Uppercuts round 004 - Buy one ticket, get nine free!

On the soccer side of this coaching business, I'm drowning in players. Seriously, I can't even tie up my own coaching boots without discovering a new member of the team lurking underfoot. Which is why I can field a Limited team, a casual team and train three bunches of random Fajitas each and every week. On the baseball side however it's a different story. I can field one team and that's it. No training, no bonus, no nothing. So for the time being, my options are a touch on the limited side. Still, there's enough choice to change a couple of players around each week so let's do that and see what sticks..

Nada and Schnitzels round 005 - Who's this knocking on my door?

The casuals are going great, the Limited team is rubbish and suddenly I have a new staff member I had no idea about..  What else could go wrong this week?
