'Coach, for your first ever MLB experience you've got 13 players ready to go, you need to pick 7.' -Shifty Bob, my assistant.
'Easy enough, pass me the dart board!'
And boy oh boy am I happy to see happy Manny make that cut. He looks happy too.
Unfortunately unlike the soccer side of things, you can't pick a team captain on the Baseball side of business (the captain scores extra points each round, so it's best to put that crown on someone you know or in my case guess can get the job done.) but I have all the faith in the world for my team to take on the might of my eh...wait, how many at the time of writing?
21,626. Oh wow, that's a lot of people and teams to try and beat here..oh well, we gotta start somewhere!
Wish us luck!
ROUND UPDATE:
Okay so the results are in, annnnnnnnd:
Happy Manny leads the charge with a great looking 30 points. I'm not sure how that rates in the whole scheme of MLB scoring here at Sorare but it's the best score here, so yay go Manny!
Gonzalez and Urias also had a great game but then there's Lopez. And Long, I'm not sure what happened to Long.
Oh and it looks like I'm completely out of Flex.
FINAL SCORE: 51.5% A bees tackle above average.
Oh and just like when I order a hot dog at the soccer, in this version of the Sorare series I'm also awarded a new card each time my team does pretty much anything. So we welcome the latest addition to the Urban Uppercuts..
My first Mariner - Andres Munoz!
When not playing baseball, Andres loves his martial arts. So much so he's developed his own version called Lu Kat Mah Fingas where it's all about distracting with your hands while you kick your opponent right in the nuts. When asked how he felt about being the latest edition to the Urban Uppercats, Andres let out a burp and asked where the bathroom was. We predict big things for this year one edition player!
Well that's it for this week, more in store for the team coming soon!
